Played the first two seasons with the Buccaneers and started for a season and a half at center before handing the reins of the position over to long-time Buc Steve Wilson. Came to the Bucs in the veteran allocation draft having been the Redskins' back-up center for the previous three years. Was traded to the Rams after the 1977 season and played every game of the next two seasons in Los Angeles. Also caught a pass during the expansion season on a deflected ball at the line of scrimmage. Was originally a 13th round pick of Washington in the 1971 NFL draft.
