Profile
Hard-nosed defensive tackle who started for most of three seasons at nose tackle in the Bucs' 3-4 defense of that era. Suffered a serious back injury during 1990 and was told to retire by medical advisors. Took up flying and gained his pilot's licence 18 months later. Had played for Ray Perkins at Alabama and hence his draft selection in the 7th round in 1987 was hardly a surprise. Only played two games in his rookie season because of injury but became a permanent starter thereafter.
Selected as the 92nd Greatest player in Buccaneer history in 2007
