Profile
Back-up member of the defensive backfield who made three starts at free safety in 2011, first replacing Cody Grimm and then the Green Bay road game when Tanard Jackson was injured. Also saw some time in nickel defenses and also a key member of the special teams units. Had an interception in the Wembley game against the Bears. Started the final five games of 2010 at free safety after Cody Grimm went on IR and recorded his first NFL interception in his first start against Atlanta. Orginally signed from the Bengals' practice squad in September and played special teams and also some nickel safety the remainder of the year. Proved adept at kick blocking in college and continued the trend in the NFL by blocking both a punt and a fieldgoal during the 2009 season. Originally entered the league as a sixth-round pick (177th overall) of the Bengals in the 2008 NFL Draft.
