His role on the Bucs is that of a gunner on special teams and is always the first man down the field on punt coverage. Specialises in downing punts inside the opposing 10-yard line. Saw only the most limited of action on defense in 2004. Had moved up a level in 2003 by seeing extensive action in nickel defense formations and also made two starts when the Bucs' opened with five defensive backs. Also led the special teams in tackles in 2003. Was a practice squad player for most of 2001 who saw action in one game, the road trip to Detroit and made four tackles. Played the 2002 NFL Europe season for the Frankfurt Galaxy having also played the entire 2001 XFL season for the Chicago Enforcers where he led the league with five interceptions and was an all-league selection at cornerback.
