Profile
Joined the Bucs in 1990 when Ray Perkins traded a 1st round pick in the 1992 draft to the Colts which only turned out to be the second overall selection that year. Chandler spent his two seasons with the Bucs permanently sniping at Vinny Testaverde claiming he was a better QB than him and that he should be starting, not Vinny. Replaced Vinny seven times in games and also started six himself, but never distinguished himself as a starter in Tampa. Finally, after a training field bust-up in October 1991, coach Richard Williamson cut Chandler from the team. He of course has since gone on to a long NFL career most recently with the Rams, but rumours about his me-first attitude to the game remain to this day. Holds a unique record in that he has played against the Bucs for six different teams, the Colts, Cardinals, Oilers, Rams, Falcons and Bears.
