Profile
One of four running backs called Davis who played for the Bucs in the first four years of the franchise. Only appeared in eight games making four starts behind Steve Spurrier. Had come over after the start of the season in a trade with the Bengals but did not prove to be equal to the value of the pick surrendered. His rookie numbers in 1974 with Cincinnati were promising (375 yards at a 5.2 average) and was originally a second round pick of the Bengals, but missing the 1975 season through injury proved decisive for his pro career. Never played again in the NFL after leaving Tampa Bay.
