Played the inaugurual nine seasons with the Bucs and made 95 starts at safety and occasionally cornerback. Originally signed as a free agent in 1976, Brown was traded to the Raiders in 1977 and when released by Oakland, was re-signed again by the Bucs. His nine interceptions in 1981 remained a club record until Ronde Barber became the first Buc to reach double figures in that category in a season 20 years later. Remains third in the all-time interception table with 29 picks as a Buccaneer. Had missed the final seven games of the 1984 season with a knee injury having missed the final eight the previous year with a broken ankle.
