Played in all three replacement games and led the strike-breakers in sacks despite not starting a game. Got three of his sacks in the final strike game against Minnesota and tied a franchise record with that number in a single game for the Bucs. Played all three USFL seasons with the Denver Gold and was named to the All-USFL team in 1983. Finished as that franchise's all-time leading sack leader with 27.5 over the three year period. Was briefly in the Denver Broncos' training camp in 1982. Had not appeared in the NFL before the strike games and never played in it again afterwards.
