Promoted from the practice squad after the Atlanta game due to Torrie Cox being placed on injured reserve. Played three games on special teams before returning to the developmental roster for the final two weeks of the year. Originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 2009 and later saw pre-season action with the Cleveland Browns. At Akron, he was a four-year letterman who played in 48 games with 17 starts and totaled 113 tackles.
