Joined the Bucs in April 2001 as an unrestricted free agent after spending two seasons with the Washington Redskins. Originally drafted by the Vikings in 1992, he spent his first three seasons as a back-up before playing five games in 1995 after a successful spring with the London Monarchs. Lost his starting job to Randall Cunningham in 1998 due to injury and was then traded to the Redskins. Played in the 2003 Pro Bowl following an injury to Michael Vick, becoming only the second Buc QB to play in the game (the first being Trent Dilfer in 1997).
