WHEN IT'S 4TH AND LONG - Josh Bidwell
Written in 2007, it is the autobiography of the former Tampa Bay punter.

The BUCPOWER.COM review
Religion plays a big part in many people's lives. And most of them allow it to do so without ramming it down everyone else's throat. And then you have Josh Bidwell who wrotes a book to do pretty much nothing but that.

Bidwell played five seasons with the Buccaneers from 2004 to 2008 and went to the Pro Bowl in that time. But this warrants no more than a few paragraphs in his long sermon about how God helped him recover from testicular cancer, God allowed him to have a wife and family, God helped put the ball out of bounds at the two-yard line etc.

I have no problem with Josh as a person or a player and everyone has the right to tell their story. Just as I have the right to say that this book was the biggest waste of a few hours I will never get back.

Official description
At 23 years old, Josh Bidwell felt as if he were on the top of the world. A stellar college kicking career at the University of Oregon earned him a fourth-round NFL draft pick. But everything seemed to fall apart at the Packers' training camp when he received a diagnosis of aggressive testicular cancer.

Now Josh shares his gripping story of overcoming adversity and eventually becoming one of the NFL's leading punters. From his insider's view, Josh describes what life is really like in the high-pressure world of professional sports-and how he is able to maintain a vibrant faith in a seemingly secular environment.

He offers an inspiring tribute to those who influenced him along the way, and he provides tremendous motivation to readers who seek to overcome their own adversity or encourage others to become the people God created them to be.
