Profile
Took over from Garo Yepremian as the Bucs' kicker in the early part of the 1981 season, but was a main part of the Cardiac Kids team from the 1982 strike season as he booted an overtime winning fieldgoal v Chicago to put the Bucs into the SuperBowl tournament that year. Had a horrendous 1983 campaign in which he cost the Bucs at least three games including a Monday Night loss to Green Bay when he missed a key extra point. John McKay remarked after the game that "Capece is kaput" and he did not play in the season finale that year against Detroit. Was in camp the following summer but lost his job to the Nigerian Obed Ariri.
