Writer of the Year - LEE BROMFIELD
No we haven't given him a trophy for winning this award three years in a row - that's Lee celebrating his FFL championship. But the recognition is fantastic all the same - Lee follows Nick Pugliese and Martin Fennelly of The Tampa Tribune as three-time winners of our honour.

"I'm honoured and humbled by the recognition" said Lee when I passed on the good news. "I would like to thank all the people who took the time to vote for me and for everyone else for even bothering to read my weekly ramblings."

Martin Fennelly's excellent witty and short-sentenced columns saw him take second place, albeit some way behind the owner of the Cosmic Clap. And enough people took the bribes I offered them for me to also wind up on the podium in third place. Wonder if I can get the top two drug-tested and perhaps disqualified ...

Denis Crawford's historical columns have proven very popular and he also received a double-digit share of the vote followed by my own selection, Roy Cummings, who came in 5th. (Memo to self - phone Roy later to tell him I beat him).

Multiple votes were received for Mike Davidson and Wayne Maw, with single entries for Adam Powers, John Grisham, Joe Henderson, Richard Lowe, JP Peterson, Neil Reynolds and Gary Shelton.
