A new coach changes the mood completely
What a difference signing a good coach makes. Everywhere you read, the results are unanimously approving of the Bucs negotiating to sign Lovie Smith as Tampa Bayís 10th head coach in the franchises 38th season approaches.

From Tony Dungy to Herm Edwards. Former Bucs, Former Bears players, everyone is chiming in and praising the Bucs move to fall in love with Lovie. Just as weíre learning that Bears QB Jake Cutler has re-signed with Chicago eliminating the chance he would come to Tampa Bay, the names of so many ex Bucs rumored to come back to Hillsborough county to work is breathtaking.

From Monte Kiffin to Raheem Morris, Rod Marinelli, all speculated to possibly come back to the namesake of the Tampa Two defense.

You didnít hear this when Greg Schiano was hired. Maybe it was because Schiano wasnít the first choice, with the Bucs going after current Eagles coach Chip Kelly first. But when that didnít work out, the Bucs had to scramble and picked up Schiano, who had some credibility for turning around Rutgers, a team that was just bottom of the barrel in college football into a team that would compete in games against division one opponents.

Itís true Schiano never won anything with the Scarlet Knights, no Big East titles, but they played .500 football when before they could not win more than one game a year. Yet still, the comments were silent; No one tweeted how it was a perfect hire.

Raheem Morris was a Buccaneer through and through. He was hired the year after Dungy left, starting out as a defensive backs helper in 2002, then before you knew it Defensive Backs coach, then promoted to Defensive Coordinator to replace Monte Kiffin. Yet still no kudos on the day the Glazers shocked the world and promoted him to Head Coach. No Facebook fist pumps. Nothing really.

Today, on a day Lovie returns home, the love in Lovie keeps pouring in. Jay Hilgenberg was one of many Bears disappointed when Chicago fired Smith, called into local Tampa radio station as did Tony Dungy, Derrick Brooks, Shaun King. Is it Camelot time at One Buc? Welcome Home Lovie!
