Who is your favourite player on the current team?

It has to be the man who is finally making Bucs fans the World over stop talking about the days of Derrick Brooks. It has to be Lavonte David. This kid has it all...possibly even more than #55. He's lightning quick, hits like a freight train, has a nose for the ball and making big plays, but most importantly he is a leader of men. All this and still so young and inexperienced.

This guy could go on to a Hall of Fame career, I'm talking Ring of Honor, jersey retirement the full works. I could watch him play everyday, and twice on Sundays. Honourable mentions to Adrian Clayborn, Doug Martin and Darelle Revis here but David is my man here.

Before the start of this season it was Josh, after seeing his first action for the Bucs live at Wembley & the countless comeback wins I thought he was 'the man' to lead us back to the big game, sadly wasn't to be. On the current roster now Josh has moved on its without doubt Tiquan Underwood, or as I call him 'Hokey Cokey' as he has been in out in out more times than anyone.

However he is always there to answer the Bucs call when needed and this season since Mike Williams has gone down he has stepped up to the mark and become a very solid receiver posting stats of 16 rec for 325yrds and 3TD in the first 12 games, taking some of the heat away from Vincent Jackson. Hopefully he has established himself enough to sick around this time and be another weapon for Mike moving forward.

I’m really liking Lavonte David…that kid is just playing on a different level than even Pro Bowl. That series against Atlanta In Atlanta, he stopped the Falcons by himself on every down! I felt bad for him in the Jets game, even at that point he proved himself his rookie year to be one of the top guys on the team. This season, he is just making a case for the possibility that ONE DAY, he COULD be the best linebacker of all time. And when you consider whose probably going into the HOF from the Bucs this year, thats saying something.

For me it dates back to the two Wembley games and having gotten to know Donald Penn, how can you not like the guy? He is funny, engaging and loyal to a fault to his team-mates. The media love him because he is always prepared to talk about subjects good or bad. On the field he is a Pro Bowler and has now started over consecutive 100 games at one of the hardest positions in the NFL having first appeared in the 2007 Carolina road game as a complete unknown. So having also been threatened by him on the field in 2011 to not reveal the secrets of his tackle-eligible play, how am I going to ignore the toughest guy on the current Buccaneer roster?
