Profile
The Bucs' first pick in the 2008 draft and the 20th overall selection. The highest ever cornerback selected by the franchise and only the 2nd time a first round pick has been used on a corner (Rod Jones 1986). A physical, playmaking corner ranked second in Kansas history with 13 career interceptions and ranked first in school history with 322 yards via interception returns. Also returned two interceptions for touchdowns. Played in 34 career games with 32 starts and recorded 162 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and 43 passes defensed. Also caught nine passes for 224 yards and five touchdowns as a wide receiver, and contributed on special teams, returning two punts for 21 yards and blocking one field goal. Entered the draft following his junior season. Majored in sociology.
