Profile
Posted his lowest numbers as a Buccaneer but did miss two games (MIN and DET) through injury. Only had two receptions in the final five games after his return. Moved into third place amongst Buc tight ends with 11 touchdowns trailing only Dave Moore and Jimmie Giles. With the arrival of Kellen Winslow in the 2009 off-season, was deemed surplus to requirements and was traded to New England for an undisclosed 2010 draft pick in May 2009. Used more as a receiving tight end than a blocker, he burst onto the scene with a pair of touchdown passes in his very first NFL game. Was second in the nation in his senior year among tight ends with 52 receptions for 706 yards and three touchdowns. Became another second-generation NFL player as his father Edwin played for the Denver Broncos from 1973-76.
