The Bucs picked from 19th, 18th and 20th through the draft. They traded their 4th and 6th round picks to the NY Jets for an additional 3rd round selection. They traded up in the 7th round with Miami in return for a 2018 7th round selection.

1 - TE - OJ Howard - Alabama
Had an excellent rookie season leading the team with six touchdowns before his season was ended prematurely through injury. Was the Bucs' top pick in the 2017 draft, the first time the franchise had ever used its first round selection on a tight end. Named a first-team All-American his senior year with Alabama and made 37 starts in his four seasons with the Crimson Tide. Was named the MVP of the National Championship game v Clemson in January 2016.

2 - S - Justin Evans - Texas A&M
Had an excellent rookie season and tied for the team lead in interceptions. Moved into the starting safety role in Week 4 and remained there until being placed on IR two weeks before the end of the year. Was the Bucs' second selection in the 2017 draft having been a two-year starter at Texas A&M. Was a second-team All-SEC selection and a semi-finalist for the Thorpe Award given to the best defensive back in college football. Also returned kicks for the Aggies.

3 - WR - Chris Godwin - Penn State
Came on strongly during the second half of the season and had his first 100-yard game in the win over Chicago including the game-winning touchdown as his first NFL score. Was the second of the Bucs' two third round picks in the 2017 draft and one of the best receivers ever to play for Penn State. Caught over 150 passes at a 15.7 average with 18 touchdowns during his three seasons with the Nittany Lions.

3 - LB - Kendall Beckwith - LSU
Had an excellent rookie season playing as the regular strongside linebacker in the 4-3 defense but came off the field during passing downs. Also made four starts at middle linebacker when Kwon Alexander was out injured. Was the Bucs' third selection in the 2017 draft taking a chance on his quick recovery from a torn ACL injury sustained in November 2016.

5 - RB - Jeremy McNichols - Boise State
Did not make the team out of training camp having struggled with pro concepts as seen during the Hard Knocks series. Was picked up by the 49ers for their practice squad and was activated late in the season.

7 - DT - Stevie Tuíkolovatu - USC
Was injured during training camp and missed the entire 2017 season. Struggled with injuries at the outset of training camp the following year and was released with an injury settlement before the first pre-season game.
