The Bucs picked from 15th through 11th in each round starting with the 13th pick in the first round. The first round pick was traded to the NY Jets for Darrelle Revis. The Bucs sent 4th and 6th round picks to Oakland to move up in the 4th round. The Bucs obtained a 4th round pick from New England for Aqib Talib. The Bucs sent 6th and 7th round picks to Minnesota to move up in the 6th round.

2 - CB - Johnthan Banks - Mississippi State
Had an excellent rookie season and missed only one start at right corner when the Bucs opened their Week 2 game in a heavy 5-3 run defense formation. Started 45 games in four seasons at Mississippi State and had 16 interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns. Was the winner of the 2012 Jim Thorpe Award for the best college defensive back.

3 - QB - Mike Glennon - North Carolina State
Third round pick who was thrust into starting action with the release of Josh Freeman three weeks into the season and started every game from then on earning consensus All-Rookie honours and setting franchise passing records for a first-year quarterback. Had started 26 games in college and passed for over 4,000 yards and 31 touchdowns in the 2012 season.

4 - DT - Akeem Spence - Illinois
Won a starting job in pre-season alongside Gerald McCoy on the defensive line. Started all but two of the games in his rookie season and did the tough inside work on the line that allowed McCoy to become a Pro Bowler once again. Only recorded one sack but proved himself to be an adept run-stuffer and key part of the defensive line. Had started all 38 games he played in college before leaving as a junior to enter the NFL draft a year early.

4 - DE - William Gholston - Michigan State
Saw more and more playing time as the season progressed and started the final two games of the season. Had 1.5 sacks in the win over Buffalo. Was a 4th round pick who started 24 games in his college career for the Spartans with 10 sacks before declaring for the NFL draft a year early after his junior season. His cousin is Vernon Gholston, a 2008 1st round pick of the New York Jets.

5 - DE - Steven Means - Buffalo
Started 42 games during his college career recording 18.5 sacks. Made the full roster out of training camp and played in 10 games as a back-up on the defensive line and was a gameday inactive on the other six. Also showed real ability at blocking kicks with five in his four seasons at college.

6 - RB - Mike James - Miami
Became the starting back in Week 7 when Doug Martin was placed on IR and had a monster 158-yard game in Seattle but was then lost for the season himself early in the Monday Night victory over the Dolphins. A good receiver out of the backfield, he finished 2nd in rushing for the Bucs in the 2013 pre-season with 130 yards on 32 carries.

Summing up 2013
Way too early to pass judgement on this draft class so far but Glennon was the starting QB for most of the season and both Banks and Spence started all but three game between them. Each of the six players made the roster and only Means did not have a real impact at some point in the year.
