| The Bucs defeated 49ers for the first time in 17 years and became the first team to hold them without a touchdown since November 1991. This was also the first game that the Buccaneers played in their new uniforms and is seen by many as the defining turning point in franchise history as the end of the losing mentality in Tampa. |
