GAME REPORT
For the second straight week, the replacement Buc offense did not play well and this time the defense could not pull the game out of the fire as the Chargers hung on to win in front of just 23,873 paying customers at Tampa Stadium. Rick Neuheisel completed 18 of 22 passes to set an accuracy record against the Bucs that remains to this day. In contrast, Tampa Bay quarterbacks Mike Hold and John Reaves could complete only six passes all day, and the Bucs were held to under 200 yards in total offense.
