Steve DeBerg set a Buc record for completion % in a single game by hitting on all but four of his 29 passes (later broken in the 1992 season opener by Vinny Testaverde).

But it was James Wilder's fumble in overtime at the Detroit 39-yard line that cost the Bucs the game, as four plays later, Gary Danielson hit Leonard Thompson for the game-winner from the Buc 37.

Obed Ariri missed a 42-yard fieldgoal wide left on the final play of regulation.
