The Bucs won for only the second time in nine games in the penultimate game of the season against the injury-ravaged Falcons. Always nice to beat Mick Luckhurst's team though for obvious reasons!

It was the first time in over three years that the Bucs had held the opposition to less than ten points (1981 v Green Bay).
