The Bucs' faint hopes of the playoffs were extinguished with a fortnight left in the season as Minnesota completed a season sweep.

Tommy Kramer completed 15 of his 19 second-half passes to lead the Vikings from a 10-0 half-time deficit although the game was only secured when Ted Brown dashed 43 yards to set up the final score inside the final two minutes.
